Tick Control

Like fleas, ticks can cause a lot of trouble for you and your pets. They tend to move in from surrounding native habitat, from other yards, or by nocturnal creatures or stray animals passing by and then proceed to infest your yard, lawn or garden.

Think Preventative 

To guarantee that there are no spots that might make an ideal habitat, remove any debris. Any superfluous vegetation that is present should be trimmed down or eliminated, including any heaps of wood, trash, long grass, or weeds. The goal is to get rid of any areas where ticks might congregate while waiting for a host.
If at all possible, put up barriers to stop wildlife from entering the area, bringing in and dropping ticks and fleas, or acting as hosts. Anything that might be appealing to wild animals or pest hosts should be eliminated. Use Bonide Repels-All or another animal repellent to deter mammals if the tick-carrying host is unknown or complete habitat eradication is impractical. 

What works best for Tick control?...

Use beneficial nematodes early in the season to prevent an infestation. Use the HB+SF Beneficial Nematode Mix to target ticks. Nematode can be used for preventative as well as for active pest issues. Throughout the course of the year, make additional treatments as needed to control ticks. The earlier you catch it, the faster and easier it will be to control or eliminate the pest.
