Diatomaceous Earth - Application

To effectively use diatomaceous earth (DE) in your garden, sprinkle it on the soil's surface and beneath potted plants to target pests. Avoid applying DE near flowering plants that attract pollinators, as it can harm these beneficial insects. Refrain from dusting DE directly onto plants to protect bees and other pollinators.

Apply diatomaceous earth in the evening when pollinators are less active and wait for calm weather to prevent the powder from dispersing. Ensure plants and soil are dry before applying DE, as it loses effectiveness when wet. Use DE weekly until you have the pest problem under control.
