Beneficial insects attracted include:

• Ladybugs — aggressive predators of aphids, mites, scale crawlers, and caterpillar and beetle eggs and larvae.
• Lacewings — larvae attack almost any soft-bodied pest, including aphids, mites, mealybugs, thrips, scale, caterpillars, and psyllids. Each larva can consume 30–50 aphids per day.
• Flower / hover flies — larvae feed on soft-bodied insects and can consume 200–800 aphids in a single 7–10 day period.
• Others — Orius, Geocoris, Phytoseiulus, Stethorus, and various parasitoids.
